Madison

Last week I photographed this angelic little girl at just 8 days old. I will be watching her grow over the next year as she is part of our Year in the Life program. I love seeing the changes as the first year as they grow into little people :)

Fay & Jason

Yesterdays wedding was fabulous, simple and relaxed but at the same time so elegant.

Fay and Jason were living in London and booked us after seeing our website. Gotta love the internet. When we finally met them in person we knew this was going to be a fun wedding, both are so laid back and easy going.

Fay and Jason got married at Le Kiosk - Shelly Beach. Le Kiosk is located right in front of the beach which adds to the very chilled out atmosphere.
The reception room has great views over the beach and towards Manly. The room was decorated with the most amazing tulips supplied by florabunda.

Kate and I always have different favourites from a wedding. With so many great shots to chose from, rather than argue over which images to select for the blog we each decided to post some of our own favourite images.

We often get asked if we can tell who shot what image. Truthfully, sometimes we can't, but we do each have our own style.

Kate's fav images:

Love the old Jag
For the location shoot we just walked down to the beach for some relaxed shots.

and my own favs.

Everyone is a getting involved.
To me the feeling of this image sums up the whole wedding; simple yet elegant, understated yet stunning.
strolling down the beach
Fay and Jason against the sky, the clouds were so cool.
The story here is that Jason is not the most comfortable guy in front of the camera, but suddenly he decided to work the camera and put on his model face. As cool as this looks, it's so not Jason. So while I am taking some pics Fay is totally cracking up.
Some of the details of the room, I have never seen so many tulips in once place, well not since visiting The Netherlands.

Nicole & Geoff e-session

Nicole is a big fan of the bridge, so Blues Point is the perfect location for the pre wedding shoot.

And here is the location, I love google maps!

Justine & Jason e-session

Hanging out with Justine & Jason at Lavender Bay.

Yep, these kicks are special. There is a story here, but the upshot is that these are the shoes Jason is going to wear to his wedding.
I'll believe it when I see it in my viewfinder!

Louise & Conor e-session

Louise and Conor wanted to go to Glebe for their esession, which was cool cause I never knew about this little water front park right under the Anzac Bridge.

As usual I am having a hard time picking out just a handful of images, they all look great.

Jacqui & Mark esession

Jacqui and Mark are getting married in November this year. The session was a great way to catch up, and to find out how they feel in front of the camera. I think they did pretty well :-)

Surfs up.
A bit of vintage action, I am loving this look at the moment. In small doses of course.

Cheryl & Mark

Cheryl and Mark's wedding was a cool relaxed affair at the Rocks.

Cheryl got ready at the Park Hyatt, one of my fav hotels. The view is so great and the rooms are always nice.
Makeup by Erwan Woo. Erwan is putting on the final touches.
I am always trying to look for a different way to photograph shoes. I promise I don't have a shoe fetish, call it crazy artist looking for creative outlet.
Here I just placed the shoes under a table lamp for a nice glam spot lighting.
Seriously I don't have a shoe fetish :-) Love the dress and shoes.
Cheryl and Mark decided to meet before the ceremony and have the photos beforehand as the ceremony was pretty close in time to the start of the reception.
Here is a shot just after they met up in the lobby of the Park Hyatt

For the location shoot we took a quick walk around the rocks. There are so many great places to shoot in a small place, especially if you keep your eyes open for interesting shadows, backgrounds etc
I love these images, I purposely gave them a vintage (circa 1900) photograph look.

Chilling out at the Park Hyatt bar before getting ready for the ceremony. The bar has some cool places and funky lighting so we had to take some more pics.
And the finally, the Captain marries Cheryl and Mark!
