Nicholas

Another great family session at Balmoral Beach. Chris and I will have to move there one of these days..... We got some fun family photos and then Nicholas got to play at the beach. I just loved the expressions he is was able to portray with his hands, a very sweet little boy.

Engracia, John and Luke #2

This is take 2 for little Luke. On the last occasion we photographed Luke he was in a serious mood, no doubt wondering what the heck was going on.
This time round he decided to play and like a happy camper showed me his best smile.

Beach Wedding - Kyrlie & Alexander

I love beach weddings, there is something special about getting married on the beach.
Every wedding has a different vibe to it, I can't find a single word to describe this one, instead the key words that spring to mind are: fun, sand, sun, blue sky, under stated elegance, honest, cool car, barefoot bride, men in tails, Veuve Clicquot, cruiser and again fun fun fun.
Cheers -Chris

Day in the City

We had a day off today so we decided to take the kids into the city for the day. We caught the train in to the city (a big adventure for the boys). Felix really wanted to go up Centrepoint Tower so we did the tourist thing & went up to the top. We checked out some toys store and had a wander through the city. The kids were tired by the time we got home. It was a great family day.

We have a new portrait session idea in mind. We love the idea of photographing a family for a day, going about their normal routine & capturing those everyday moments we take for granted. So our kids got to be the guinea pigs to be tested on. We documented our day today & will design an album about a day. Check back in soon for the design.

Jordan & Harrison

I had a bright early start at Balmoral Beach this morning. Jordan & Harrison had a great time climbing the rocks & playing on the beach. Jordan loved discovering the island & Harrison just couldn't wait to get in the water. I love shooting on the beach, there's always something special about bare feet in the sand.

Adventurous kids

I had a great shoot this afternoon. My instructions were a few traditional photos for Grandma & then capture the kids as they are. In an hour I managed to capture them hanging off the clothesline, jumping on the trampoline, swinging on a tyre into the bush, and playing at the creek (and falling in for Issac!!) I had a great time capturing these very adventurous kids!!

E-session coffee table book

We had such a great session with Rolla & Darren they had hard time deciding which photos they liked best. So we decided to put together a coffee table style book so they would be able to enjoy all the images.

Angela & Marco

This weekend was another one of those perfect Sydney spring days. Lady Maquarie Chair is one of Angela and Marco regular hangouts, so it was the perfect place for the E-session.
They warmed up pretty quickly to the camera, actually Marco admitted to being a bit of an extrovert when he sees a camera :-)

We had a great time and got some cool spontaneous shots. Enjoy!

Elijah

Hey Elijah, welcome!
We first met your Mum and Dad back in 2003 while planning their wedding. It was an amazing day in March 2004 when we did their wedding. Your Mum, Jen is gorgeous and we used her photos all over the place in advertisements. All our wedding clients would have seen her and your Dad, Nathan in our sample album. Make sure you ask Mum to show it to you when you grow up :-)

Then we met your Mum and Dad again when you were about the size of a football in her tummy. Your Mum and Dad always wanted to go for cool and unusual photos, so we took them to Balmoral Beach for some fun, have a look at this session.
See what I mean, your Mum and Dad are so cool! Ask your Dad to play the slideshow from the session, it's wicked!

And so finally you arrived, sorry we couldn't make it to the hospital, but you know work and all that kept us busy. Still, we came around and this is you about 2.5 weeks young.
All right mate, nap time!

Betty & Matthew's wedding

What a day, we started shooting Betty and Matthew's wedding around 9am and finished around midnight. I am still aching all over, but it was well worth it to be part of such a beautiful wedding. In the course of the day we had an Anglican church service, 2 Tea ceremonies, a location shoot at Luna Park and finished with a huge reception at the Fook Yuen restaurant in Chatswood.
What struck me the most throughout the day is the huge support Betty and Matthew have received from their family, friends and church community. Their popularity is definitly a testament to their open and genuine personalities.
Guys, it was a pleasure to shoot your wedding; oh, and I loved your wedding cake! That's easily the reddest cake I have ever seen; cool!

-Chris

PS.: Thanks for the Chop sticks :-)
