Yesterday's e-session was a blast, I took Katherine and Steve down to Pyrmont, where they will be getting married in 7 weeks!
They rocked up on their '67 Vespa which is pretty cool as a prop :-)
It was sunny as usual so this post is mainly about vivid colours.
Looking for a bit of shade we walked down between the wharfs at Johns Bay Wharf. I love the moody light and textures.
Time for some funky colours and textures.
Bright sun is always a challenge to shoot with, but at the same time it's all about being creative and finding the right angle.
Finally we hit the backstreets of Pyrmont to look for some grungy backdrops.
Katherine had a Marilyn Monroe moment
Vintage film look to match the vintage Vespa.
Funky colours.

Ainsley & Nathan
We had a great e-session today at Shelly Beach with Ainsley & Nathan. Ainsley is like a little dynamo and we were jumping all over the place to take photos, which is cool.
We got so many funky images, here is a preview.
Awww ...
Cute ...
Fortunately we share a quirky sense of humour :-)
Why shoot at the beach when there is a perfectly good carpark :-)
Check it out, these are actually their respective birthyears.

Liz & Rob
Most excellent wedding, the guys getting ready at home.
Getting dressed is a group effort.
These have got to be the most beautiful bridesmaids dresses, the work on them is exquisite.
Oh yeah, Liz is absolutely gorgeous. Liz was getting ready at the Park Hyatt.
Rob and his mates looking surprisingly relaxed. The church, St Peter Chanel at Hunters Hill is one of those lovely old catholic sandstone churches.
For some it's just another day at the church
"Angelina bella"
She is the cutest flowergirl...and she knows it.
On a hot day like yesterday, it seemed like a good idea to stop at the pub for a drink and some photos.
Photography is all about the light; finding the light and playing with it is a powerful way to create dramatic images. This was shot in the staircase at the pub, where the light was streaming through a window. Well I like it anyway.
Same staircase, less dramatic use of light, but using the shapes and geometry to create some interest. Of course Liz and Rob don't look half bad either.
Again, using light and shapes. Not that the image needs it, when the couple is so into each other.
The Quay Restaurant has the most amazing views, on one side you look over at the Harbour Bridge, and on the other side you overlook the Opera House.

Kat & Damon
Thursday was one hot Sydney day, and Kat and Damon are one hot couple. I think the images speak for themselves.
During the shoot Kat asked me what I like about shooting weddings, and my response was the variety, always shooting something new in a different and unique way. This session is a good example, check out how much variety we got shooting in just one location.
I am so looking forward to this wedding :-)
