Katherine & Steve

Katherine and Steve are so cool, that I knew this was going to be an especially cool wedding. Let's face it, how many people employ a wedding coordinator to plan and design a wedding down to the last detail.

Steve and the guys are getting ready at his place.

Wow, Katherine looks absolutely stunning; love the birdcage veil and dress.
The weather had been getting progressively worse all day. With the ceremony planned outdoors at Blues Point it wasn't looking good.
When Katherine got out of the car it was only sprinkling, but as the bridal party prepared to walk towards the point where the ceremony was to take place the wind picked up and the heavens opened.

At least Katherine is still laughing as she and her Dad struggle to control the umbrella. A minute later we all ran towards the lobby of Blues Point Tower to get out of the rain.

Let's spare a moments thought for the guests and groomsmen who got pelted with no shelter around.
Kate who was with the groomsmen also got soaked along with our gear. This is when you really really appreciate the fact that our pro Nikon cameras are weather sealed, cause they were soaked!
A big thank you to the 2 ladies on the first floor of Blues Point Tower who let Katherine and the girls into their flat to dry off. Unfortunately, at this point the rain had really settled in. It was disappointing for Katherine but she didn't let it show. While we were drying off it was decided to have the ceremony at the reception venue, Doltone House. This meant that we had 1.5 hours to kill. It also meant that we wouldn't get any location shots. So, we decided to go the city to meet up with Steven and the guys at a Hotel and have some photos there. Not exactly following tradition, but sometimes you have to adapt and make the best out of a situation.

The image below captured the moment when Katherine and Steven first met up in the lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel. It was a beautiful emotional moment.
We ended up taking some photos with the bridal party here, as we didn't know if the weather would improve later.
Full credit to Doltone House who quickly set up for a ceremony. Here is a shot from the loft as they are exchanging vows.

Man, that's an awesome dress, so elegant and unique, very '40 which was the overall theme of the wedding.
The rain stopped and girls just wanna have fun.

Katherine and Steve are so into photography and gave us every opportunity to get creative. I love these moody shots.

What a day, we were all exhausted, but it was a good feeling. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and there was so much emotion and good mojo.

Stay posted for the slideshow, cause there are so many more awesome pics to come...
