This was a first for us, a surprise wedding!
Tracy & Mark invited all their family and friends to the Aria restaurant for the supposed engagement party. Not even their family was in on the surprise.
Mark is waiting in the lobby of the Sofitel Wentworth before heading down to the Aria Restaurant to break the surprise to their friends and family.
at the same time Tracy is getting ready upstairs and waiting for her Dad and brothers to arrive.
Tracy is in the middle of telling her family that the engagement party is actually a wedding.
Getting ready, while Mum is looking on in the background. She was wearing a beautiful dress by Simona.
Mark and the guest are waiting at the Aria terrace for Tracy to arrive
After the ceremony we spent about 15 mins capturing some casual photos around Circular Quay
Back at the Aria restaurant for the reception. The food looked amazing.

Talia & Matt - 22 December 07
We were chuffed when Talia and Matt asked us to document their wedding. After all we had photographed Matt's sisters wedding back in Sep '05.
It's always great to catch up with past clients to see how everyone is doing.
Back to Talia and Matt; the wedding had a nice intimate feel to it, including the ceremony at the sandstone church St. Bede's at Pyrmont and reception at L'Aqua.
The weather was looking a bit dubious in the morning, but it held up until we walked out of the church after the ceremony only to find that it had started to rain. Not to worry we took a group shot of everybody inside the church.
For the location shoot we headed to one of the wharves which gave us both cover and the views of the harbour.
Talia was looking gorgeous and wore a gown by Brisbane designer Wendy Makin.
I was looking around for something to do with the rings when I came across this magazine cover. Perfect!
Talia and her bridemaids.
Coming out of the church, it had just started to rain, but no one was too bothered.
Even when it was raining we managed to find some under cover areas too shoot.
They both look so cute, ok Talia looks cuter.
This was a really chilled out bridal party. After a bottle of Moet and a few bottles of Grolsch they were up for anything. The view from L'Aqua overlooking Darling Harbour. The dancefloor was packed, everybody was getting down, grooving and getting jiggy with it. Or whatever you say...

Sarah & Luis - 20 December 2007
Sarah & Luis, the Irish-Spanish connection, were a fun and super relaxed couple to photograph.
The day started out overcast which was not a good sign for the planned outdoor ceremony.
While Luis was getting ready he was on the phone to the event coordinator at Gunners Barracks to work out whether to move the ceremony to the covered terrace or keep it outdoors. With literally only mins to spare before having to make a decision the sky cleared. Although the staff at Gunners kept the terrace on standby just in case.
Gunners is such a perfect place to get married, the place oozed old worldly charm, combined with awesome city views and great surroundings for location photos.
Ceremony & reception: Gunners Barracks

Luis in a reflective mood :-)
Luis is about to head down to Gunners Barracks.
You can always find funky backgrounds if you just look around, this is just a garage door.
Sarah was getting ready at her place, it was great to meet her family there as well. In true Irish fashion she has 4 sisters and 1 brother so the house was pretty full and happening.
The reception and ceremony took place at Gunners Barracks. The ceremony was in the courtyard. The chairs and the reception venue were beautifully decorated with roses.
the view from the back of the courtyard.
In order not to be in Kate's shots (as above) I was hiding behind the flower arrangements, which meant I got close to the action for a different view.
Must be the Spanish sign for victory.
little feet, pretty shoes.
The whole bridal party outlined against the sky.
Something a bit more posy but still fun.
At one point during the reception Luis' Dad pulled out the Habanas.
I couldn't say no, that would have been rude, right??
Some moody shots near the old fortifications.

Luke & Jack
Engracia & John were one of the very first weddings we photographed way back in 2004:)
They now have 2 gorgeous boys. When I first met Luke when he was only a few months old I struggled with getting him to smile, but for this session he loved the camera and I don't think I got a photo where he wasn't smiling. Jack is such a cutie.
I love being able to watch our past couples becoming families:)
